Trolled for whatever with a jointed-Trout-pattern/shallow and a deep-runner Shad-rap with a trailling-Nitecrwlr.(about 8" of floro-carb. w/sm.hook.)F.F. batt. ran out of juice,so I had to BLIND :smt004 PADDLE and in the first 15min.ZZZZZZZZZ went the deepdvr.Large Trout!,is what I was thinking when it jumped way behind me,NOT SO!....19"Florida Large Mouth with a 14"girth!! :smt005 :smt005 drop-shotted and tossed crwlrs. for more x-small ones after that.Water is clear and high.Word of Browns and Mt.Lassen planters, but none for me.

Side funny:Right after I get both lines out/trolling a couple of inbreeds cross right behind me directly over BOTH lines and don't even have-a clue!So I yell"Hey!I think you crossed my linesesez",as I see both poles bending. He thinks its funny and laughes"Fish-On,ha..ha..)I just looked at him while he untangled the mess and kindly thanked him for the act.15 min. later and now I need someone to take my(our) picture and who do I see across the lake,my new-found BUDDIES!I paddle like a madman(dunking Mr.FLA. on the way) straight-up to them and ask them to take my picture so I can RELEASE this thing. There jaws drop at the sight of it,and they could not believe I was-a-settin-her-free!!! :smt003 :smt002

Don't forget that you launch from a dock so do a NCKA search for the tips on how to get in and out of a kayak from a dock.  Here's the thread from my first trip there:

http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/bb/index.php?topic=2792.0  There's a lot of detail about money etc.

On that same trip Adam and I ran into each other on the lake when we were stone newbies.  I bet he was thinking the same thing I was...hey a kayaker maybe he can show me how to catch fish...

Man that was a few trips and a few fish ago...good times huh Adam.

Whats up Sandman?I heard that place has the FLA.strain-LrgMth.I've been thinking of trying it a couple of years ago in my floattube, but the area is restricted if flt-tubing,also heard the resident bass are"VERY WISE" so I never comitted to BASSIN.Fooled one! Thanks for adding the"dock-launch tips" :smt008 it can be difficult and you wouldn't want to fall in right there at the docks. :smt005
Gary:that day was my second time on my yak and I have had the biggest fish and the best times Hookin'em" since then. :smt003 I remember seeing your post the following day and said"I saw that guy and spoke to him too!"Ohh what a small world......

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

I grew up fishing that lake lived in Danville. Met an old fisherman one time with a huge limit of Bass must have gone 50 lbs. He gave us some rigs and his secret bait Goldfish and told us he had been fishing the lake when is was only a creek before they put the dam up. He said all those giant goldfish we saw were his escaped bait. Don't know if that was true or not but his bait worked great.
