Have tried too many times without luck.  Read GreatBass2's post quite a few times already.  Any other tips?
Also, squid are in Monterey now.  Any WSB being caught yet?

You can't catch um if they're not there. I haven't heard of any wsb catches this year.  Be patient, and when they are there the ncka pros will let you know.

Not much but some:

Aug. 1
The Salmon continue to be caught in the shallow water here in Santa Cruz. The bite has been decent for the anglers working in 120 feet of water. There were a few caught near New Brighten Beach in 90-120 feet of water. The Salmon bite was slower down near Moss Landing. There is still some Squid in Pajaro. The Halibut continue to bite in 50-70 feet of water on the troll. There are a few Sea Bass in the Squid balls down near Moss Landing. The wind was down until the fog cleared around one.

July 29
The Salmon bite was good for the anglers who worked near Natural Bridges to 5 Mile Beach at 36'55/122'03 - 36'55/122'07. There were some Salmon caught near Moss Landing and Pajaro in 130-200 feet of water. There was some good Rock fish action on fresh dead Squid near the Lighthouse and Davenport. The Halibut fishing is still doing well for the anglers who are trolling the beaches south of Capitola. There have been a few Sea Bass caught in the same area. The Albacore fishing was good for most anglers who worked near the Guide. The scores ranged from 5-18 fish a boat last time I spoke to the boats. The fish were caught from 37'05/123'05 and 36'59/123'18. The wind was a little bumpy on the way out but the ride home was nice. The wind was down all day long and the south swell is dropping.

The wharf to wharf race is Sunday so make sure you get here before they close the roads!
There are a few Albacore being caught from the 601 up to the Guide today. The Sea Angel ended up with 37 Albacore around the Guide. There was another boat who ran out near 36'30/122'32 and found blue 60 degree water with bait but no Albacore. The weather is great and I will keep you posted.
The Salmon bite continues to be the same with big Salmon being caught near the bottom near Natural Bridges. There were scores that ranged from 1-4 fish a boat in 90-120 feet of water. The Salmon are being caught 40-90 feet down. The bite was good in the morning and there were some fish caught in the afternoon since the wind was down all day. There were a few boats who did good on Salmon near the Soquel Hole and Soldiers Club. The Rock fishing was good today because the swell came down. There were some Halibut and Sea Bass caught near Capitola and Moss Landing. The weather is expected to be great again in the morning.

Differences this year vs last year. This time last year there were hundreds a day being caught from Monterey to Santa Cruz. If/when they show I will be there. See you there.

Need to take bay sides reports with a grain of salt.
Several occasions that I have been out there they show good reports but the truth was the opposite.
Where did he go george
