Hello All!

I'm Eric, moved to nor cal (folsom, sac area ) in 03. started yaking 2 years ago fishing in the lakes and the American river. I stay in parajo dunes 3 times a year ( lucky me,have cousin in law)  and stumbled across that park in Capitola on the other side of the pier fished it last trip and it had easy access, coming in at 12 to 1 was rough but kept her straight and drove her hard. Hooked 2 decent greenlings but nothing to make me go for a swim.

I Cant remember the name of the park but i'm sure Ill remember the off ramp.  I will be in town the 22nd looking to see if anyone is up for fishing on the 23rd, or through the weekend. I'm down to travel for the straight line brothas!!! Let me know

Welcome to NCKA! Look out for the local hook ups. Lots of great people in the Sac area. Good luck in Santa Cruz this weekend and we'll see you on the water soon.

Welcome.
Maybe you're talking about New Brighton State Beach (Park Ave exit off 1).  Doesn't open until 8 unless you want to wheel a 1/4 mile down from parking in the campground overflow lot.
Or maybe you're talking about at the Cap wharf, the short steep access road to the west (SC side) side of the wharf.  Parking is a problem close to it, so try the streets up and to the west (sc side) and wheel your yak down the hill, lock wheels up way up under the wharf, or some people launch on the wharf.
Both are as easy as M. Bay gets, and big swells only occasionally are a problem.  Ck Cap City website for the occasional event that gums up things.  Wind comes up from the west most days, so that determines which one I launch from.
I don't think I can make it this weekend - maybe Sat.  Hope to see you out there sometime.  Good luck.

Welcome  Eric to the Madness! Parjo Dunes is a prime spot for Serf fishing for Bard Perch and Strippers :smt007 I walk that beach a few times  a year on the off season.

Come and join us on Saturday. Just look for The west harbor and that's where you would find some of us...

keep in mind there is a $10 dollar parking fee and $5.00 for Launching. Permit for parking and launching a kayak $15.00

Hope to see you out there

Go to SC and follow the but' catchers. Troll for salmon on your way to the halibut grounds. Don't forget to post a report!
