My buddy whom I took to Shelter Cove and Eureka yak fishing is officially " hooked "  :smt003

The stipulations are that if he buys himself a yak, he must also buy his wife a yak.

Obviously, the first order would be to check the site. So... he is wanting to pay around $500 a piece for the yaks however, I'm sure that if the right used boat of a better quality was available, he would spend a little more.

So any opinions as to what new yaks in that price range would be a good choice would be appreciated. Or, if anyone has a used boat in that price range they are looking to part with, I might have a good home for it where it will be used and taken care of.

Thanks
Jesse

Jesse, how about a matched pair of Hobie Quest 13s?  Me and Bryan are picking up a pair of Outbacks and will be getting rid of the Quests in the next month or two.  Boat/seat/paddle/Humminbird FF, rigged and ready to fish.  Shoot me a PM if interested.

If the wife really wants a yak, how about one of these.
