stinson beach?

Given the closure of Muir Beach this summer, I was wondering if anyone every launches from Stinson? Any potential for halibut of the shore there, or maybe rockies down on the south end of the beach?

Just looking for a launch site close to home.

I've launched from the surf there, and there's definitely opportunity for halibut.  A little bit of a beach break but doable on small surf days.  Lifeguards aren't too down with it on the main beach, but there's parking and public access just before the Seadrift entrance (if you get there early, like before 10).  You can also launch from Warf Road in Bolinas and access the same water plus rock fish on the reefs near the point, just stay at least 1000 ft from shore starting near the point and northward. 

I might be down there on Saturday fly fishing in the surf.  One of my favorite beaches to fish because I get to see bikini's while fishing!
