This was my first time diving for abs and it didn't disappoint.  I've been doing some spearfishing for a little while and have been itching to get some abalone.  Dove with falcorking (Justin) and my friend Ben (not on NCKA) at a nice little spot on the coast.  Conditions were supposed to be "all-time" according to several sites/forecast but they turned out to be a bit rough/surgy and vis went from about 8-10ft to 3-5ft in a hurry but we all got our limits and were able to pick out some good sized abs.

It was such a different feeling from spearfishing and something I'm really looking forward to doing more of.  These creatures are truly beautiful and I'm thankful for the opportunity to harvest a few here and there.  My abs went (from L to R) 8.75, 7.75 (my first one taken) and 9.5 on the big round one.  The 9.5'er took me about 6-7 dives to bring up as he was stuck on the underside of a rock and had a very strong hold down about 25-30ft.  He had a ton of meat on him too so it was all worth it :)
