  Roostertails and weading rings have always been good to me.  Only issue I have with roostertails, is sometimes the hair over the hook is too long.  I'll trim it just behind the hook.

6 lb test sure does break pretty easy. I was trying to tie it to my 12lb braid line and every time i would tighten the knot. Snap... Went to fishermans friend and got a couple rooster tails, and kastmasters. Wish I could take off a couple days of work and stay up there longer. Thanks for all the advice everyone

I never go above 4# test.for casting lures I only use 2# test havnt have a trout break off yet.I also caught 16" stripers at los vaqueros with 2#test while fishing for trout

# is another way to write lb...so 4# equals 4lb test.
What knot are you using to tie your 6# to braid?

Yucatan knot and another one i can't remember the name. I just took all of my braid line and replaced with the mono. I'm going to do more trout fishing for the now on anyways
