8/9 Monterey early morning (or SC combat fish)

So was planning on heading out to just pull some easy rockfish and hope for a ling @ Coral st in the morning. Off the water by 830 or so. But the post about some easy salmon @ the combat line in SC has me interested and I may just try that in the morning instead. Any takers for either? Thanks.

Since no one else is going, any input on whether I should hit Coral St. or Carmel/Stewart's Cove?
