Beach Launched out of here once... kinda spooky as I don't know this area well at all...

But, going to give it a shot...  getting there between 6 and 7, not sure about parking, launching, where I'm going etc...

High tide at 11:15...

Ch. 69 and I will be running a shark shield for what's it's worth....

Hey Don! I've paddled to the bouy from there a handful of times. Nothin' spooky! A little shallow for trolling on the way out unless you swerve south. I've caught salmon halfway before. Watch out when launching for this south swell all the surfers are looking for, if present, there will be lots of time between sets.
Are you gonna launch from wharf road or Brighton?

shoot, at high tide in biolinas you can launch right off the concrete ramp at the end of the road there.

That's Warf Road, I've launched from there before but wanted to avoid the surf landing on the way in so landed on the beach and dragged the yak back to the car.  Plenty of parking right there if you go early.  How is the parking at Brighton?

Thanks,

The MLPA is strange to figure... is it 1000' from shore or a 3 mile zone before you can start fishing?  Kinda looks like you have to make it to the buoy before you start fishing...

don't know.... :smt102

 Launching...

I would like to drift out the lagoon, but that also looks dicy once ya hit the mouth...  not sure where I'm launching... Last time I parked along the lagoon mouth and just launched off the beach next to the mouth...

Just checked out a satellite pic and looks like good parking near the Brighton launch.   Regarding the MPA, looks like it doesn't start until near the point and only goes out a little ways.  Either launch spot looks fine for fishing right away if you compare these two links:

Copy that...

Thanks...

That's the one I was looking at, but I guess the line that confused me was the " Study Zone " which extends out 3 miles...

Thanks again...

still not sure if I'm going to Bolinas or hook up with Jack at TC,,, will post tonight on " The Decision..."

Don. Sounds like you've been to wharf rd before. Great place for a sunrise. You just have to go before the  flood tide gets going. Still doable after that if you wheeleeze to the end of the channel. Brighton is where a ton of surfers will be. There won't be any parking spots even by the tennis courts by 8am. That's the put in with the possible shore break. There is plenty of room to off load at the end of the road and go park.
Stick to your plan at wharf.  Usually it's not hard to pick a line to avoid breakers. The deeper water towards the groin is a good bet.

I will be up at TC. You can come up, point finger and laugh.
