My friend wants to kayak fish, but needs a kayak.
He is a large kid @about 230lbs. The boat i was thinking of was an oc big game. Any opinion on what will do the job. So if anyone has a kayaK that they want to get rid of please let me know. He does not want to spend more than $600.

Thanks

Wilderness, OK, Jackson, all make yaks that will work for him. $600 makes it a challenge. All of the big boy boats are different and paddle differently. If you find a boat in his price range, see if the seller will allow a test drive. 230# is not that bad for many of the "regular" size boats either. Tarpon 140, OK Prowler or Trident 15, Cuda 14. He just needs to try some out. There are others too. These all just came to mind.

I've got both a Cobra Marauder and a Prowler 15 Angler that I've been looking to sell...Haven't really put much  effort into it though.

I'd sell either one for $600, includes seat but no paddle.  PM me if you're interested.

Bought this kayak earlier this month from Dan/Damdan and have not use it yet, but since I just got the Outback I can sell it the for the same price if you want it.

Here's the link to the post for the Prowler.  http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=46608.msg517101#msg517101

I thought I had posted the pics of the marauder but I'm not able to find it..I'll search for pics.

It's yellow, one of the newer models, has no holes drilled into it, minor rash.  It is missing the drain plug.  My dog bit it off one day when I left it unscrewed.  I plugged it with a gauze and some Marine Goop as an emergency fix because I noticed it one morning last year at TC right before I launched.

[Edit]I found the post but it didn't have pics attached.  If you're interested in it I'll pull it out and take some pics. [/Edit]

Psssssst-Pssst I know someone with a T160 for sale, for $600, in the classified section!! I'm bigger than he is and it holds me up/is a great all around boat for most kinds of fishing.
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

Big Game paddles like a barge.  My weight has fluctuated between 240-290 over the years and my trident 15 has been great.

Big Game is a bear in the wind too, without a rudder anyway.  One time coming in with a lot of wind, I only paddled on one side to make it in.
