Surfperch season inside the bay, I had no idea.

Just saw this as I was browsing the August DFW calender, not a big deal for most but might keep someone outta trouble someday.

Surfperch

The recreational fishery for surfperch (family Embiotocidae) inside San Francisco and San Pablo bays is open from August 1, 2013 through March 31, 2014. The daily bag and possession limit is 5 fish in combination of all species (except shiner perch). Shiner perch (Cymatogaster aggregata) are exempt from seasonal closures and have a separate bag and possession limit of 20 fish.

lol, yea a lot of people dont know that, its their spawning season. The Ocean perch are open year round.
