Thinking about hitting the Rio Vista area for whatever is biting! I think there is a launch near the pin in this picture. Anyone care to join in, high tide is a 0900. Thinking of being there at 0600.

Is that the mouth of the Old Sac?  Can't tell from the map.

It may very well be...I'm not sure where the sac starts. I have just heard that it is a good area to fish.

Yes thats the mouth of the Sac. The slough above it is Steamboat slough and going straight up will turn into Cashe slough. Steamboat has nice small mouth bass in it.

Do you know if there is a free place to launch around there? I really hate paying $12 to launch a kayak at Vieira's Resort.

What are you targeting?  You can launch free at my place but I'm ten miles up river near Walnut Grove.  I am right next to KoKet Resort in the private trailer park.

Targeting Salmon, Largemouth, striper or anything else really, but I really want to catch a salmon (never have to date).

There's a free hand launch site at 38.211630, -121.536824 and boat ramp at Hogback Island ($8 I think) at 38.214901, -121.604237.

You could ask if they would let you  hand launch free off the dock at Isleton. I'd be interested to know.
Good luck! send us a report.

I have driven by that place (and admired the beach) for decades, never been there!
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
