fishing mendocino

how should i fish lake mendocino in the summer. going up there a week for 4 th of july. what lures should I take. any thing helps

EARLY.  The lake is not great for stripers that time of year, but they will occasionally go off at sunrise.  The boat traffic that weekend is hell...good luck
