Woke up this morning and thought I was a little burnt out.  I knew today was supposed to be great so I left the house for coffee and a peak at the water.  After I saw the water I didn't need coffee, I was perked up and ready to fish.  I have seen many good days at LM but today was one of the best if not the best I have I been part of.  I called Joe and we hit the water quick
I have yet to post pics on this site for some reason but will do my best this time.

The fishing was ok with salmon no where to be found.  However a bit more fishy than yesterday.  We saw some birds working but nothing major.  A dori said they had 1 shaker.  Fished for rockfish and did ok.  A fog bank came in early and appeared to want to give us a scare as my GPS batteries went out.  After only one use :smt013.  We held on and the weather cleared right up.

Overall we had 17 fish most C&R except for some cabbies and some decent rockies. Joe did the best. I nailed 7 total mostly small. Joe did well keeping most.  I did managae two underlings that were a good fight.

I am beat and tired from two long days of fishing but happy.

At one point we landed our kayaks near the base of Pedro to take a potty break.  thats how calm it was.
The picture of the two kayaks is the potty break.  Joe was a mad man carrying his kayak and then coming for me and pulling me half way too.  Savage stuff.

Only negative to the day was my cell phone become engulfed in water and now kaput.  If you want LM conditons PM me and I will hit you back as soon as possible.

It was a great day on the water. No big fish, but it was a blast. We couldn't have asked for a nicer day. The fog rolled in, and right back out, It was sunny for the rest of the day. (The potty break brought back reminders of Freddie and myself on the north coast on Thanksgiving.) All and all, fishing was mostly slow, but landed about 15 fish, kept just under a limit. Great company, beautiful day. Thanks again to Jason,
Joe

I got on the water at LM at 4:00, no other yak/fishers I saw or heard on vhf lots of bait here and there, met a yaker not familair with ncka, but into it. Another newbie names Skotty. Caught a big smelt. Mooch met up with me at 5:30 or so he saw someone with BIG salmon caught off P peir, so we trolled apex to the peir, my malibu just wont keep up with the prowler so we split uo, Mooch headed for the peir and I aimed for Hawaii. I did a big loop to pedro a few hits but no love. Got to the rocks and so calm you can get right next to them and jig, but only landed a little rockfish. Mooch came by and we jigged out the sunset, very nice. Coming in I completely rolled, glad I took the time to stow my rods, FF and camera, cause I lost half my other shit. Bonker, gaff, lead, pliers, radio, a skupper plug all gone and got an ear full of sand.Folks on the beach LOVED it all! At least they helped me gather up my yard sale. OK im off to Bo Bo and Dux.

Looks like you had a great couple of days J.  I am felling better now... The 20th was a rough one.  I did not even get good and drunk first! :smt001  I never would have guessed I would get sea sick after doing 6 years in the Navy.  At least now I know!  Anybody know of a good motion sickness med.  I am in the market. :puke:

Glen,  the better you get at not getting snagged the better you will feel. Combined with some type of motion sickness preventative.  In my experience the times I get queezy is when I am tying a lot or focusing on one thing for too long.  I am lucky not to have to deal with motion sickness.

Wow!  That is a very beautiful photo of Pedro Point.   It looks like the peaks of a snow cap mountain.  I love seeing Pedro.

Nice pics Jason! I sooooo wish I had joined you guys. I had already commited to a pb trip with my neighbor on his new beautiful whaler, but it looked like salmon was going to be slow and I was right. We went to Dux for nada; I caught one silver and Jad farmed one. Beautiful day out there too, though, and the pb allowed some much-needed R & R.
