I'm not looking to hook-up, per se, but to introduce myself.

I'm a Bay Area transplant now living in San Diego.  I have occasionally lurked on your site.

I've fished the jetties and piers in San Mateo and Santa Cruz counties, in addition to having fished the PBs out of Bodega Bay (aka Blowdega Bay).  Prior to moving to San Diego, I fished out of my own boat nearshore and offshore out of HMB and Santa Cruz.  I'm now doing the kayak thing in SD, but might fire up the old PB to do some paddie hopping for dorado.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello and see what's going on in the old haunt.

Welcome X-yak, how was the heat this weekend?

Bill,

The heat down here was oppressive on Saturday.  It cooled a little yesterday and today, due to the overcast, though it's still hot and muggy.

I heard it was steamy up there, as well.

Hey X-yak,

Be sure to hook up with the Plastic Navy down there in SD.

I got my start kayak fishing with these guys and won my first boat from them.

Also, if you haven't found it, SDFish.com has an epic forum.  I used to moderate, and I can say that it is the best fishing forum in SD.

PM me and I can hook you up with some fellow yak anglers down there.

Welcome to this forum as well.

MolBasser,

I've lurked on the Plastic Navy site also.  Once in a while, Drew will make a post on the La Jolla website I visit regularly.  I'll check out the SDFish site when I get home.  I've read some of your posts here and have found them to be informative, especially about your dropshotting for halibut in San Diego Bay.  I'll certainly try that the next time out.
