Wore my T3 dry suit for the first time during a trial run of my AI.  After a couple hours on the water, I peeled off the dry suit to release the inner "clam bake".  Needless to say blue jeans is not the right inner wear.

What do you suggest without breaking the bank.

Thanks!

I wear REI polartec power dry Heavy top and bottom and ski socks (wool?) If I know it's gonna get really cold, I add a layer of poly shirt. Haven't had any issues yet.

The top and bottom goes on sale from time to time. I picked them up at $20 a piece one time at REI. I have a more expensive Cabelas brand polartec, but they feel pretty much the same IMO.

Most likely the water soaked thru your butt if the seat is filled with water.  Maybe add something between you seat and your butt  :smt002

Hopefully the drysuit didn't leak thru.  I was dry, just moist from baking inside the suit.

As for suiting up in the buff....  I doubt any of you want to see THAT when I peel the suit off at PIF. :smt044

Rash guard and kokatat polartec pants and wool socks. If its really cold then some thermals as a base layer and a flease jacket on top.

Have you tried swimming in your suit yet?

Have not tried swimming in the suit yet.  Waded in it, but no swimming.

I usually wear a rash guard and just poly shorts or pants...

wintertime add poly thermals.

I tried jeans also they don't work so well.
