I took Friday off to hit up HMB before the PIF event. But after reading everyone's reports from the past several days I'm thinking Bodega before hitting HMB.

Would love some company and any pointers to help me get some chrome on the yak.

Rider - if the conditions allow, just troll out to the fleet near the whistle buoy (west and a little south of the Bodega Head). Most every offering seemed to work, but I got mine on a setup like this:

Main line--->"dog whistle" sinker release with 1.5-lb ball--->4.5" Watermelon Apex on a 4 foot leader.

I replaced the questionable leader that came on the Apex with some quality 30-lb test fluorocarbon. I also crimped the bard on the stock hook and sharpened it  until it was "sticky-sharp".

Let that down between 30-75 pulls (whatever the radio chatter is saying), and troll around at about 2-3 kts.

Good luck!
