The windfinder predictions seem to be a lot more conservative. I have not gone out and found windfinder to be saying it is good but have it be bad. I have had windfinder say it's bad and have it be good so you may be ok if you get out early. If the wind really comes up strong save some energy to make it back. In a very worse case scenario just head east and land where providence takes you.

Goat Rocker- I agree with you on that one. And it makes sense, I guess. Windfinder is geared toward people who WANT wind (sailors, windsurfers, etc), while NOAA is geared toward people who don't (pleasure boaters and fisherman).

I'll be out there in my Hobie so I've got arms and legs (and a spare paddle) at my disposal. I plan to get out there VERY early to maximize my chances.

Alex, the fish were all over the place. Couldn't go wrong. Many were caught at 18-36ft down. The only advice I can give you is the early bird gets the worm. The bite seemed to shut off by 10 but was wfo from grey light for about an hour.
