My Outback is stored outside and upside down on a few saw horses.

Will the heat warp it? I have the option to bring it in the garage for the next few days if needed where it's quite a bit cooler and out of the direct sun.

Thanks! :sunny:

I'd put it in the garage out of the direct sun and direct heat at least until Thursday when it starts to cool down again.Store it on its side to help distribute the weight because the garage can still get pretty hot on a 100+ day. If you can keep it in the garage long term that would be your best bet overall.

In this heat I wouldn't leave a yak out in any direct sun. On sawhorses I would be concerned about denting the deck.

I'd stash it inside until this subsides.

If you normally store your yak where it is in direct sun, at least cover it with something, as the plastic can become brittle over time if exposed to too much sun.

Put it in the water on a lake or ocean and fish on it throughout the day. Then come home late at night when it's cool again. Do the same thing everyday till next wednesday then you would have protected it and loaded the fridge at the same time. JK :smt003.

Good advice!

Plastic boats often have "memory" so that if they do get a dent, they will fix themselves...but still don't leave it out in direct sun, and don't have it strapped down on anything (like your vehicle rack) while sitting in the sun. I did this at New Melones and I ended up with a dent...but after the next heat wave, the dent was gone.
