Hero3 Black Video editing?

First Id like to say I know very little about video editing.  Ive had this GoPro Hero3 Black edition since Christmas and I have taken some amazing pictures with it and very little video. I have the class 10 64g micro sd card in her. My pc is a sh*t bucket and I really dont want to upgrade to a Macbook if I can help it. I would rather purchase the newest version of the Ipad IF its possible to edit video through Imovie. I get mixed info on whether video can be edited on an Ipad or not.  Can anyone answer this or possibly point my non tech butt in the right direction so I can get over this hump?

Apparently you can but having a larger screen to work on is really nice.

Make sure you get one with the most memory. My 16 is almost full and I can't add more vids.

RR, do you have a Hero2 or 3?

Thanks Salty. Looks like thats for a Hero2 and I heard there is a difference. I agree that a larger screen is nice. I might have to buckle down and fork it out for the Macbook. I just dont have much need for one other than editing. Im a dumby when it comes to all this.

Get a MacBook. It will change everything you think about vid editing (and all other computer stuff too)

I don't have an iPad or a MacBook desktop...just a MacBook Pro laptop. I discovered that, after creating videos with iMovie, I was losing hard drive space despite moving the files to DVD after uploading to YouTube. It actually got to the point where my laptop was performing squirrelly from not having enough space to operate. Then I learned that the iMovie program was storing all the video creation efforts in its own memory portion of the software. Once I figured out how to purge that data, laptop was back to working normally. Just a FYI.
