Life Happens When You Plan - New Revo for the Boys

Yesterday I called Headwaters Adventures in Redding and ask Terry what they had in stock. Today thanks to their great service and Jeff willing to do some quick upgrading rigging we have a new boat in our fleet.  A dune colored Hobie Revo....You folks are awesome!   

Now one of the boys needs to get blood on that boat! We are looking for the first break (maybe as soon as this weekend or next week) to head over to the coast and hopefully get some rockfish and maybe Mitch the salmon magnet can do his magic on the new boat.  Why the quick decision. Keep saying to yourself... no regrets!

Life indeed can be interesting. Without getting into details I thought this spring and summer was going to be filled with great memories of fishing trips...well life happens when you plan. It seems one distraction has lead to another. And really the distractions were not that but more of taking care of real business... at home, with family, at work/school and at the University. Seems like every time I thought I had fishing plans I am called to something else… out of love, kindness and integrity life calls.  Don’t get me wrong I do not want a pity party or looking for a pat on the back…heck, I am not really whining I am just saying sometimes in life…life happens when we plan. Doing the right things can be emotional and physically draining. With that in mind watch out fish when I come it is with the same energy and focus.

I like the emotional and physically draining part too, Dave.     I hope to see that energy and focus in action soon.

Glad to hear of the new addition to the fleet Dave!  I'm going to start hitting Centimudi in the evenings if you want to practice on the little kings before chasing the coastal version.

That may fit my schedule very well. I teach tomorrow and then I see a road trip in my very near future.
