Looking to buy kayak wheels

What type are best? And where's a good place to buy them from ?

Outback adventure in larkspur or California canoe and kayak in jack london will have them. Best are wheelez beach wheels. could also find them online but the guys above support the site and we like to do the same in return when we can

Go with the wheelez. By the time you buy stuff to make one or you buy a few cheapos, you will spend enough to buy a set if wheelez. I bought the tuff tire since I do harder terrain and they are awesome. If you do more sand, I have never heard anything bad about the balloon tire kind. Save yourself the headache and save up!

I bought the wheelez as my first wheels for the yak. After extensive research, I coughed up the money to get a new one. NO REGRETS!! Sand, concrete, dirt, stairs,  name it. Don't even bother trying or making anything else. Save yourself the money and headache in the long run.

I do think that NCKA memebers get a 10% discount too.

Like many others I tried avariety of carriers, even built one using the goood wheeleze wheels, then finally bought an off the shelf Wheeleze cart (30cm tires) and yeah, don't waste your time get a set.

Wheeleze is located in Benicia, I bought mine thru an NCKA supporting retailer (Hook1,discount) that was located in SoCal.  Did the deal on the phone and asked the question, Can I pick them up in Benicia and save the shipping?  They said sure, their shipped wheels came directly out of Benicia anyway. I ended up saving about $30, with the discount and no shipping.  Of course it did take time, gas, and bridge toll but I had my wheels in a few hours after I ordered them.

Yet another vote for the Wheeleeze. These things are PRICELESS when it comes to Muir and other sandy beaches. It's also easy to hop curbs, go down stairs, whatever...

I ordered mine directly from Wheeleeze, and it was money very well spent.
