Hey guys! Just wondering If anyone has been up to some pig hunting lately or maybe this summer. Was looking at the DFG website and have been looking at public lands you can hunt on. Ive been thinking about cache creek and Indian valley wildlife areas. Has anyone been or had any luck at either these places? Or any other places?
thanks -miles

Pigs are there but hard to find. They move so far so fast and really have no set routine, they kinda just do whatever they want. Its hot out there and tough hiking...best bet is probably to wait for sonoma to open, plus deer starts up next month!

Ah ok thanks. This is my first year hunting. Any good public deer spots?

Mendocino national forest is a excellent place for deer but just like any public land you will have to put on some miles and keep any spots you find a closely guarded secret

I have hunted cache creek for pigs, I have seen sign, but no pigs.
I have friends that have had bow shots out there!
It gets hotter that two rats effing in a wool sock around there this time of year, I would wait till fall/winter to get back out there

Hunter Ligget in the summer may be a waste of time as Reservists are doing there 2 weeks, all summer long.
