Lake chabot is a great spot bro!  Bring your wheels cause its a long walk from the parking lot without em.  Troll kastmasters and crocodiles for trout.  Nightcrawlers or senkos for bass, liver for cats.  If you go to the left of the island there is a long straight run that does well for trout, the tules to the right of the island have got me some big bass.  Good luck, its a fun lake!

Gorgeous little gem! That place is pretty cool. A man much wiser then me once said to use gold and black Rapalas for trout, and it worked! Livers for cats are highly recommended Seek shade/structure for those guys. any shade is good on a hot day, but also try the tulle weeds for bass. Trout have also hit right outside of them.

Good luck dude! Go Get em  :smt001 :smt006

Awesome, was fishing from shore a couple weeks ago - the bass weren't biting, but you could see them from the walk-way (looking down w/ polarized lenses) on the western path side... there's some tree structure that comes up really close to the top of the water, there were some monster bass congregating around them (8-9 fish, really big). Couldn't get down to them... could also see the rainbow trout following spoons/metal... good luck!
