Tough question.  Might be better to wait awhile.  I just rigged mine ,but not with a DR. If your local shop sells YakAttack rails check them out. GT-90 series with fullbackings and you will need rigging bullets, I'd sent you my bullets if we had more time and I wasn't headed to San diego tomorrow. check out the install videos on their site. Rails would give you more options to adjust the location if you don't get it right. If you don't get it right, Oy Vey!!!

Clamp to your handle if you've got a lake troller. You can always do free conversion to post mount later.

Scotty makes a gunwall clamp that works great on the indented handles of the older Revo "indented" handles or grabs.  Like Ben says the lakettroller on this clamp is a quick mount.  I always put a small piece of 1/2" PVC in the depression before I tighten the clamp, gets a better non slip grip. I think FW has those Scotty clamps.

Jeff, I have. the scotty lake troller but its the one made for the scotty flush mounts, not the clamp model. does scotty make an additional clamp for my model to fit in?

Cant find my better pic, but this is how I do it Ricci.  Mounted the DR on my crate on the right hand side behind me.  I put a rod holder on the opposite side too, still on the crate:

Ricci, I have the same kind and put it in a deck mount which is screwed to the rail forward of the rudder down cord handle. It ends up pretty close to the right side pedal. You have to trim off the plastic boss that the footstrap attaches to the pedal with

Ricci the base you have mounts on top of the clamp.  Check the Scotty website for part number 449.  If you can't find one I am up at my trailer in Isleton. Would loan out if you need it.
