Hi. I'm going to be in Cave Junction Oregon (1hr to Crescent city 40 minutes to Grants Pass) all next week, June 10-15th. I'm planning on hitting the river and ocean while I'm there if anyone wants to join me. This will be my first time fishing these areas from a kayak. I have a Prowler 15 and Scrambler xt if you need a yak. I would love to meet up with someone who knows the areas mentioned but the experience is definitely not necessary to join me. Cheers.

Patrick

I was just up there for the long weekend. Grew up fishing all that area. However I'll be SJ during that time. Feel free to pm me and I can give all the info you want on SO. Matt

Looks like Wednesday is the best day based on current NOAA forecasts if you want to meet me. I'm thinking of launching at the beach (the small protected one) next to the public ramp. I may launch out by the light house though. I would like to get out pretty early (6ish) before the winds pick up. On a side note I find it interesting to see the current shore conditions (winds at 7kts and gusting to 12kts) while the St George buoy shows (winds 35kts gusting to 44kts). I'm surprised they aren't more alike since they seem fairly close.
