Finally took the plunge. Came out of surgery at 10:30 this morning for the deviated septum and shaved down some nodes of some kind. Hopefully helps with my nasal congestion and ear congestion . I am hoping to relinquish my membership to the Darth Vader club. I have been a member for several years. And for those of you who have considered getting the cpap machine . Do it. It made a world of difference.

Day two. And I am excited. Dr Maclean has releasing me. I thought my nose was gonna be packed with cotton and that I wouldn't be able to breath. Instead they put stunts in my nasal passages and I can actually breath. I'm. Stoked

i spoke with my general physician about seeing a special list. nose, throat and so on. first visit . determines i have deviated septum  and recommends removing adenoids.went on his recomendation . all was covered through Kaiser insurance and my copay to each visit and the surgery was ridiculously low.

I have a deviated septum too and was scheduled for surgery way back.  But when I went to see the dr. Doing the surgery and was informed of the possible side effect Like nose bleed n other stuff I got scared n never went through it.  Maybe I should reconsider now.

definetly reconsider. i wore the cpap machine for i think close to three years now. but as i mentioned. my ears were starting to get congested more often. i was also told about the bleeding and so on. that was all just part of the healing process. my worry was that they put cotton rolls in your nose to catch the drainage and that i wouldnt be able to breath.instead, they put a rubber stint that has a tube for breathing. i believe it was way better than the cotton tubes. i have a friend and they actually cut the under side of the tip of his nose and pulled his nose back to do the procedure. my doctor didnt do that. it has been 1 month since my procedure. i have slight healing drainage, but i am feeling like i have way more energy and better outlook on the congestion problem i had. i still use my cpap until the healing is complete . my cpap has an adjustable humidifier that helps with keeping your nose moistened. about a week after the surgery. you do have to constantly flush your nose with a rinse aid. i can post a great one i use later.. good look my friend. take the plunge. my doctor was mcclean at the kaiser facility near blossom hill. great dr.!!!:smt001
