Rossmoor on the American River cancelled, going to Amador for crappie/bass

hey if anyone is interested in going after some shad and striper possibly i will be launching out of Rossmoor around 4:45-5:00 i will be paddling up a ways to possibly the bend right before the falls depending on the current. if anyone is interested drop me a message or reply to this thread. i will be out there regardless.

I caught alot of shad below that round cement bunker thing in the slow water last year with the spey rod. Usually some peeps on the cement thing but it's a good spot if you can get it. Probably could do real well with a kayak down there. Caught some from those little falls down to the cement thing but more down below. We fished alot down there last year to get away from the crowds up by Sunrise and killed them. Probably wont fish the AR this year for shad because having good luck on Sac, Yuba, and Feather, so there ya go...goodluck!

Never liked parking my car down there though, a lot of "characters" around.

very true with the characters. i think i switched up my mind and I am going to head over to lake Amador for some crappie and bass.

Drive an extra 15 min and do the tourney at Melones!?!?!? Where ever you go... Hat for shade and LIQUIDS!!! Gonna be HOT

shoot i have to learn how to paddle my kayak straight before i can start entering tourneys.

I will just stick to the casual putzing around the lake to unwind after work...
