Finally know what's going on the BBQ. Caught the biggest trout (LOOK AT THOSE FINS!!!!) I've ever caught trolling and my daughter caught the absolute smallest Koke I've ever seen. Normally I'd let a big wild fish like that go but I tore up it's eye pretty bad so in to the box it went. Everything was on a pink sling blade and pink spinner which proves which lake I was on. It was pretty quiet until noon when every moron in the Central Valley showed up. Had some jackwad in a bass boat go full throttle past me about 100' away. I was less than 100 yards from shore trolling and he went between me and the beach full throttle. Plenty of geniuses in ski boats doing the same. I guess when you're in a $50,000 Sanger it's hard for you to imagine that being waked in a 14' aluminum dingy SUCKS! For my sanity and my kids safety I had to call it at lunch time.

Hope you're all staying safe this weekend. I've heard the Life Flight and sirens non-stop since I've been home.

It's on to flyfishing skinny water in the mountains tomorrow.

3.5 lbs. and the minnow

Look at those fins

Thank god she looks like her mother

And you could hear me screaming a mile away as I was headed out for the door....

Nice catch.
It's not safe out there on a holiday weekend.

Glad all is well. Thanks for the report. Good luck on the fly.

I try to stay away from the fleets. I got a few between Tuttle Town and Rose and then well south of Rose. Seemed most people were staying between Rose and the Dam.

The Kokes actually faught harder than that big trout. Usually the trout out there pull harder than the Kokes and initieally the big guy did. He breached and came about 3' out of the water and I swear when he landed he knocked himself out. After that I just skied him in across the top of the water like a stick

Regardless he got the shampoo :smt021 and is currently sitting in a oak fired sauna smothered in butter, garlic, dill and lemon juice.

The fish is cool, but your daughter gets the "cute" prize. If you could bottle that you could retire.

Nice 'bow Kokayak!  I wish all rainbows were bright and fully-finned like that one, like they're supposed to be.

Must be the light or camera angle; I don't see no rainbow on that rainbow.   :smt005
