(I checked the forum for this topic and it was not found)
My Hobie Mirage Sport has a leak (~1.5 cups?/hr) at the back  of the drive hole where the plastic turns from vertical to horizontal (bottom "flat" of hull). I have tried melting Hobie kayak plastic with the repair kit, and various glues.  Still leaks as the materials do not adhere to the kayak.  Last time I tried to repair was 2019.  I prefer to fish and not stop to bail.
A guy on the water told me a new kayak glue is out that will adhere and patch the leak.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,  Tom

When you attempted the repair, did you use a metal screen for "substance", like rebar in cement?  I've had good luck doing so, with all my plastic weld repairs.

To answer your question though, I don't know of any glue to make that type of repair, new or otherwise.
Yeah, well...the Dude abides.

No, I didn't try a patch structure, but it sounds like a good idea.  How about using sheetrock plaster patch as the structure or is metal 1/4" hardware cloth good?  Perhaps the cement may adhere better to the hardware cloth (it's wire) rather than the plastic plaster patch?
Exactly what is the glue that works.  ShoeGoo, Alum. boat patch, Gorilla Glue, and FlexSeal did NOT work (unless I didn't seal the seam/hole) for me.
The photo attachment using the "Kayak and Canoe "KC" Welder Pro" sounds familiar to me.  I used a commercial "kayak plastic weld" product that came with a hot iron, but no hardware cloth.  I got a remnant piece of kayak plastic from a kayak shop and melted it on the clean plastic interior where the leak was and it didn't take.  The leak is in a "concave" corner that is very difficult to access with the kit that I purchased (prob.. 2020?).  Your attached photo looks like it is "ironing" on melted plastic to seal to the kayak and seam/hole, which I was unable to do despite maybe 3-4 attempts.
Is there a glue that would adhere and stop the leak?
Maybe I need to buy the kit you used and try it again.
Thanks for your ideas and reply.
