Anybody in the Chico area looking to do some fishing this weekend?  Lake Oroville, Paradise Lake or and other suggestions welcome.  I'm just itching to get out.

I'd go with but I still need to get outfitted...I don't even have a paddle yet! Then there's pfd,  rod holders and the rest...When I do get going we should go fishing. I'm only a few miles from Black Butte Lake. Have a fun weekend!

I wish I could, but I am doing a paddle on the Moke on Sat and then off to Yosemite for Mother's Day. I would ask my son, but he'll be down here this weekend (otherwise he would totally tag along with you).

Hey, want to plan a date to do some fishing at the diversion pond at Oroville?

Boy that sounds like a fun trip.  Have a nice Moms day and trip to Yosemite.  And yes we'll have to plan a trip to the diversion pool.

We will definitely have to hookup at Black Butte.  I have a Hobie kayak so you could always borrow my paddle.  :)

Seriously I have an extra paddle and one of those big orange cheapie PFD from my boat you could borrow.

Thank you for your generous offer! I'm headed to stores in Sac. today to check out pdf, paddles. Once had a Hobie Outback SUV! I really regretted selling it a year ago. Wonderful kayak! That Mirage Pedal Drive system is really a unique invention. I really learned the value of lashing everything down when I was on the Feather once and approaching shore. I pulled the the Mirage drive out and slung it over my shoulder to the back, unfortunately a good portion of it was hanging over and the whole shebang fell over in about 15'ft. deep water. To make a long story short, recovery was made the following day when a friend who scuba dives came out and found it in about 10 minutes. The following day I drilled a hole in it, attached the necessary stainless steel hardware and started lashing that thing to my yak! Lesson learned.
