Fished Caples Cove Sunday from about 9:30 to 3 with a buddy in our Mirage Outbacks.  We fished for trout with flashers/crawlers, flasher/needlefish, and rapalas.  Fished the surface and from 20 to 60 feet with a diving plane.  Only one bite, a big take down on the surface with a flasher/crawler combo.  The fish rattled my rod in the holder, I picked up, it splashed and broke me off.  That was it for the day.  It was my buddies maiden voyage in his yak.  He was so worried about stability.  Needless to say he felt right at home in the Hobie and is no longer worried about tipping over.  Safety 1st but at least he is no longer worried and now in love with this method of fishing.

I think I saw your truck and yaks at turtle rock on my way back.  It was slow for me also, but I avoided a skunk.
