My wife's birthday is this weekend, she would like to get some fresh crab.  I could hit anywhere from bodega to fort bragg.  Reds would be fine with her.  Anyway, I have two traps, but have never been out before for crab.  Any info would be appreciated.  Somewhere well protected would be wonderful if the weather and wind fail to cooperate.  Are there any good spots withing Bodega Bay?

Right off Bodega Jetty would work.
Still hearing some keeper coming in, though not limits.

Or out off doran beach.  would work too.
1:44pm is high tide, so a window of 1 hour on either side the jetty could be crabbed with out a ripping tide in or out of the bay.
Crabbing out on the watter wont matter much.

Funny, I had the same WAF request for Sunday. Hit Tomales for a beautiful morning but only two nice dungies on a two hour soak. Tomales can be tricky with the tides and  drifting grass tangling on the lines and pulling the floats down. Bodega is a better choice imho....

I would love to help, but the only day I have this week is tomorrow, I might be able to get out Thursday, if I can I will pm you, we can hit Doran, and if the swell cooperates I have another spot that should work, and I also have two pots so we should be able to scrape up a few crabs for the wife, Cameron
