SharkStopper

Saw this online. A new product to prey on our worst fears:

Works on an different theory than the SharkShield by stimulating auditory instead of electrical sensors. The theory is that while the SharkShield repels sharks that are already in the vicinity, SharkStopper works to keep them away in the first place. SharkShield says its electrical sensor deterrent system is only active for about a meter or less ((https://www.sharkshield.com/technology/), while the SharkStopper's auditory deterrent capabilities is a claimed 4.5-18 meters.

I think a few people on this forum use the SharkShield and I haven't heard any stories of SharkShield users getting unwanted love from resident landlords. The SharkShield studies did show that some sharks, over time, hit the SharkShield-protected chum bag. This implies to me that sharks are smart enough to condition themselves to unpleasant situations. If SharkStopper works, I wonder if sharks would be curious enough to check it out and then condition themselves to that frequency pattern. I dunno. SharkStopper's trial videos do not show activation of the device in the presence of food.

If this thing works though, I think I'd be awesome for that extra bit of comfort on the water -especially for you danglers. ha.
