I got an invite to go to Bodega for 3 days next week.  We have a place to stay and a small boat to fish from. If the weather permits(don't look like it) we will set some crab traps and try for salmon.  What else could we try if we can't get out to the salmon grounds?  Is there sand dabs and/or halibut in the bay?  Rock fish from shore?  Any info would be appreciated.  We have 3 days to fill(one day of golf) so need some suggestions.

Thanks,

Jody

You might try surf casting for perch off Doran Beach. Walk south a ways till you see some rips and channels. Occasionally a striped bass is caught there also. The jettys have small rockfish around the rocks but they are fished heavily.
