I resently purchased a ff for my yak. Being it is a DSI model I dissided I wanted to go with a scupper mounting method instead of shot thru hull. The Ascend
yak I currently own dosen't have a good spot/scupper for the Lowrance set up, so I built one. Hope to finnish up the install tomarrow if Headwaters in Lodi has the Hobie thru hull wiring kit. This is what I've got so far.

That's a great job.  What did you make the rail from?
Rail is a piece 1/2"×1"×6" of aluminum. Made on the mill at work, with a little help and on my brakes.
