I work at adventure sports we got prowler 13t's that are new with scratches on the bottom for 600 with paddle and two recess rod holders there like 2006-2008 but there new. Not sure on colors we got left.

so far, lot's of good advice and great deals on this thread.  If you are going to paddle both fresh and ocean, you might want to consider a 13' for starters.  the new and used deals mentioned in this thread would be better than outfitting the pampano equally IMO, and you will have better luck selling it later when you get decide to get another kayak... because you will... we all do.  Very few people have their 1st kayaks still.  You can paddle a name brand, then sell it for a little cheaper, and upgrade.

btw, I recently sold my OK Prowler 13 Trident w/ 2nd gen rodpod and seat for $500- so there are deals to be had if you are diligent.

Whatever you end up deciding on, WTTM and see you OTW.

+1 on everyone's recommendations! Be sure to try as many as you can before you buy.

FYI, if you will be in the Lodi area this Saturday morning, there will be a kayak swap/sale this weekend in Lodi at Headwaters. It might be your chance to get a used PDF or paddle...maybe even a kayak.
