That really is beautiful... I love the small details.  I think the red squid in the upper right is my favorite part.

I'm so glad you are happy with the piece Jim!

I had it in my dumb-job office for a few days and I got several "whose the lucky fisherman?" questions.

The main image design is similar to Fishadow's piece. I had a photo of a halibut I had caught a few years ago, and got the arch and mouth demeanor right from that fish, a 23# hali. I do draw my work freehand though, so they are all one-of-a-kind pieces.

Now I just gotta finish my hali harpoon and get on it for the DoonArt show on July 27-28 :smt003

Out of curiosity Sean, what would a piece of work generally set someone back?  Also, what are the dimensions of that piece?  Maybe 2'X1'?

Your work is nothing short of amazing!!!  I'd love to take a tour of your gallery.  :smt007

I've got the awards done, just waiting for the word.....

BTW, I will be participating in the DoonArt studio show this summer. Last weekend of July, 7/27 & 7/28 from 11am-6pm.

I'll have 5 large outdoor pieces including a leatherback turtle, lingcod, and salmon.  Plus some fishing related implements among other stuff. I'll post teaser pics as we get closer.
