Went to the indoor range over in South City.  I brought my 9 mm and GF's .22.  But the next door neighbor no showed so I put GF's .22.  I got in quick.  went to my lane. You can only shoot pistol calibers and .22 rifles.   The guy next to me is blasting away with a repeater at all of 15 feet away and sucking at it.  I am thinking to myself "try aiming."  I am cheap and bought two full size targets then I place small orange stickers on them in various places to practice with.

I am shooting two hand one hand, off hand, 10/3 table, with my normal glasses and and with safety non prescription glasses.  I see my target better with my glasses on, but can't see the sights for crap, without my glasses on sights look great, target looks like a big mass out there (bi-focals are on my horizon)  All in all had a good time, and chuckled as I watched a guy a couple rows down with some big hand cannon shooting all over the place at a high rate of speed.  Hit everything but what  he was aiming at. I  fired 200 rounds with my Tauras PT92 AF, which fired all 200 rounds with no jams with cheapo CCI aluminum cased ammo.

I know some of the newer Tauras' have a bad rap but mine has always been faithful, and never given me problems.  There was a guy in line getting ready to rent one, he was going for a semi auto and the girl behind counter is asking him about experience as to what he had shot before, he said a "a gun."  Well you got to learn some where.

i should get over to JA more often, but been too busy lately, plus ammo is in short supply.  i've got some that i'm just sitting, but it would cost too much to replace.

Thanks for the report Kevin. I avoid the indoor ranges that rent guns. Too many yahoos. With ammo prices so high, I spend half of my range doing dry fire practice. Seems like ammo supply is getting better and hopefully prices will come down.

I saw some stripped AR lowers for $300 ea, same lower I saw last Summer when I went to a gun show in VA was blow out price of $69 bucks.  Same brand and model, it blew me away what people will try to get away with.

Yeah indoor places survive off of rentals, I understand that, but I would like to see the range master out there keeping an eye on folks.
