I'm going to try my luck at Oroville this Friday. Still need to do some scouting to see where there hitting...might be your last good chance at a Coho there.

Any takers?

Wish I could go Steve, but wife won't let me play two weekends in a row. Last year I launched at the ramp next to the dam. Trolled across the dam and fish was found once you get across the dam along the buoy line. We trolled up and down the buoy line and had 11 hookups in 3-4 hrs. Used the typical hoochie behind a small dodger tipped with a piece of anchovies, but those coho seemed so voracious they'd probably bite anything. Good luck.

Ernest-

Maybe next time! Hey, how far down were you trolling?

You have to let me know when you get out to Santa Cruz or Monterey next time. I'll be game for that for sure!

I wasn't using a downrigger. I just put a 1/2oz sliding egg sinker it front of the dodger to make in sink a little. I'd guess I was probably trolling at about 10' deep, 60 pulls behind the boat at 1.5-2mph. But if you're marking fish at a certain depth, you probably wanna troll at that depth.
