Hey guys
hitting up Whiskeytown this afternoon till dark. My fiancee and I will be launching at the cold water curtain around 2pm. Will be fishing the couple humps at the curtain and then working the north side hopefully getting to the humps just before the whiskey creek arm.

Any company always welcome. If you do show, bring your trout or koke swimbaits. Trout were busting the surface constantly the other day too so trollers or fluff chuckers should be able to whack some pan fryers as well.

If you can't make it, enjoy the rest of your day :smt003

If the rest of my day goes like it has, I will need to hit the bar not the lake lol.
I will try to make it out there.

Yup. Tossed 3 different swimbaits. Felt a couple anomalies and taps but nothing I could solidly confirm as a strike. The other half decided to wear just shorts so to make it short, we left early too. Only fished for a couple hours. If I can break away Thursday I am down for Mary lake. But then again it will be hard to cheat on Whiskeytown right now when there are so many monster spots in there that are just beginning to get hungry.

As soon as I get in my 4" rainbow trout big hammers I'll let you know. It's been confirmed from a few sources that rainbow trout swim baits are the go to for whiskey town spots, fished in the troughs and over humps, or whiskey creek along the back rock walls. I've chased monsters on my paddle board on early summer morning paddles.
