Matt, we in the same boat, or kayak lol, I been looking for cheap rack system for my pickup now that I have a kayak. Check out discount ramps.com, they have rooftop car racks too, may not be the highest end but if it works the prices are reasonable. Less than a month bro!

Matt ,I will check the fit guide for your corolla to see what fits. I'm going to the REI "yardsale" to see what they might have.

Matt, where do you live?  I have a yakima system that came off my 2004 corolla 4 door.  It is four Q towers and bars plus a pair of kayak stackers. I cut the bars to roof width so as not to smack my head which is why I went with the stackers. I carried my T11 and my wifes tarpon 100 with no problems.  With the short bars it would be hard to carry two flat but, new bars are $90.00 from yakima in any of their lengths (48, 58, 68 or 78 inches).  O yeah everything (towers and stacks have locks with keys. This whole thing was on my car one summer and we had to downsize to one car so we kept the Sentra. Of course no rack system available for it so, we are going to a trailer. Getting to old to lift boats anyway.  Here is a pic loaded. You can look up the stackers on yakima site if you even would use those.

FYI, if you wanna save $ on the Yakima bars you can just use 3/4" galvanized iron pipe. That's what I got on mine.

I am just north of Eureka on the north coast in McKinleyville.

Good tip on the pipe Salty :smt006

Matt, you can PM me if you want more details and such.  I would like to see it go to an NCKA member and not just sit in storage, odds are slim that I get another Corolla of the right year and like I said we are going to a trailer. I also have a set of yakima straps and  bow and stern tie down straps (never used due to short distances traveled to the beach) that I can throw in.

Sorry Matt, I failed to do any Saturday rack recon; the wife-to-be had me working from sun-up till bedtime. I am still going to do some looking for you.   :smt009    , Amos
