I am another newbie itching to test gear out, I might take you up on the offer for Saturday 7/8 depending on the weather.  Where are you thinking of launching (Berkeley)?  Do you plan on using live bait or trolling with flasher/herring aka the halibut rig?

Welcome,Fellow NewBs :smt006 I too am 6mos. into this Yak-fishin and have hooked up on more and bigger fish then ever!I see you guys are lookin to Bay-Hunt for stripers.I just hooked up on a 26" out of the Richmond Rockwall/ (see S.Hampton Shoal Butt Hunt 6/23 Fish Report)Marked LOTS of Butts on the inside of wall.I will be Yakin that area til one of those Butts end up on my Hook!and then it will be ON!Easy launch from beach(PT.Richmond Old Ferry Pier) straight to the end of wall.Need early start to avoid afternoon hurricane-like conditions.Need more details?Wut-up?Adam/FisHunter
