Looking for some help in mounting the transducer on my Tarpon 120.  I assume the best place would be in the Bow? just not sue what kind of adhesive to use... any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

LOTS of info on the site... best search keyword is "duct seal".  Available at almost all large hardware stores for only a couple bucks.  Alternative method is marine GOOP.  Last method would possibly be the Lowrance scupper transducer mount depending on your scupper size, shape & transducer size/shape.  As for location, most prefer the bow or under the seat if there is an accessible hatch.

Sorry, I don't have pics, but I mounted mine below the hatch that is between my legs. I used silicone and it eventually popped loose. Now I just get it wet and smoosh it down in the same spot. It works great.
I'm not in a Tarpon but a Hobie.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Automotive silicone sealer from Volkswagon dealer... Mount it in hull and just cut the tube end off and push it out in one chunk. Place transducer into it and smooh it strit down and weight it (have the weight figured out before hand) then let it dry... Temp 1 deg difference from in the water and no loss of signal... Important that NO bubbles get into sealer under transducer. Will never come loose so put it where you intend to leave it :smt005
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!
