Getting ready to mount Scotty mounts for FF and rod holder . Have not used either of the flush mount round models , one is mounted with 4 bolts , screws or ? and the other has on large center nut as part of the mount . Any  pluses or minuses of either model ?

Thanks , Dan

I think I know which mounts your talking about.i have the flush mounts I buy the stainless steel bolts and nuts from west marine.down side to the flush mount is the bottom is just a cap so it's not fully sealed.the other one I hadn't used before.i think the one with the nut would not be as sturdy for rod holders.
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

You can buy completely sealed ones now. My cap has never leaked, and is also gooped on.

I'd go with the YakAttack rail mounts, I have had both the ones mentioned above, between those two i would choose the flush mounts.
I do not like a cluttered deck the YakAttack keeps it clean.

Plus your not limited to just Scotty mounts. My longer camera mount is also placed in the Scotty mounts for the YakAttack.

Love the look of the mounts RHYAK! I'm was thinking of toying around with them on my AI soon.
