2/23 oroville diversion pool coho hunt

Sorry guys...no fishing report to give. I left my home in Brentwood early sat morning, arrived at my folks home in Elk Grove where i store the kayak and was talked/coerced into staying there for the rest of the weekend. The wind was howling, which also worked to dissuade me from taking the trip. My father, his brother and their mutual friend had planned a weekend of working on my dads new boat and enjoying some gourmet eats and wanted me to partake in the celebrations. The real kicker was my dad's offer to give me his Mark IV lowrance to replace my incredibly basic Fish finder, if i stuck around to help out. I just couldnt pass on the offer, especially since there was not going to be anybody left hangin out in Oroville...no takers on the hook-up. I am excited to try the new rig out next weekend (wife permitting). Oroville...Lake Almanor perhaps? anybody interested?

I should be around this weekend.  I'm debating between the diversion pool area or heading over to Black Butte for some recon with the Structurescan since I haven't fished there in years.  The forecast looks pretty good for this weekend as of now.
