On that 1st video, love the way you matched up the soundtrack to the time of the bite/hookset.  Nice !!

Nice, third video is the best one! Thanks for reminding me to get out & fishing more often. Maybe you want to change your personal text from CPR to VCR? Video Catch & Release  :smt003

I'm looking to take my first paddle on the Delta perhaps this Sunday.  What, in your opinion, is the "friendliest" part of the Delta to paddle and fish without dealing with a whole buncha buzz boats screaming by and the fish are hella sexy?

There are so many good spots, but one of my favorites is to put in at Cosumnes Preserve off Twin Cities Rd and I-5. They have a nice kayak dock, and wheels you can use for free! From there paddle south to the Confluence on the Mokelumne river and head up the Moke. The currents is flat and there is a lot of good structure for bass. A local kayak angler I met said paddle up and fish down so you sneak up on the fish. If you use crank bait or rattle traps, you are also likely to catch a Striper.

I'll third that recommendation.  Rockfish took me there last year.  I was totally not a bass fisherman until I fished that stretch.  This year I just dropped $700 for bass fishing crap just because of that one trip.  It is also a great place to just get away and paddle.  Very beautiful area with a lot of different terrain both in and out of the water.  Not sure what it is like after the rains though.  Might check that first as it is really full of structure (hard to find a place on the shore where you can get out and take a pee.

More info on CRP can be found at http://www.cosumnes.org/recreation/Paddling%20Guide.pdf. I think most NCKA members are going to Clear Lake for Yakhopper's event. If you can, you should go to Clear Lake.

I really wish I could make it out to Clear Lake this weekend.  Unfortunately I only have a small window of fishing opportunity on Sunday morning :smt010

Thanks for the info and the report!
