The Truxel Road Walmart in Sacramento has the skinny pool noodles on sale for fifty cents each. I don't know if all the local stores have the same deal or not. I picked up 20, and am thinking about getting 20 more. In addition to providing kayak flotation and boat rack padding, for which I usually prefer the larger ones, I like using the skinny ones on the heavy-duty plastic coat hangers for hanging my dry suits and dry tops and other paddling clothes so they don't get creases or those stick-up places in the shoulders. I also use them for drying my booties and mukluks after paddling. Lots of uses, and a great deal at that price!
