I believe that reports make the boards more interesting (even if the exact location isn't given out); if fishing forums are slow

With NCKA community, I would have to disagree your logic. We here share knowledge on fishing (including lure models & colors, location & depth), mods/builds on kayaks and even financial resources to those in need; that's what makes us a tight group of individuals...

Hopefully soon you will come to see this about us....

+2 and be sure to get on a kayak for that action.  If the fishing's that hot from shore you should have a blast on a yak.   :smt001

Nice report Pond King, dont ya love when people give you a bad time when your just trying to be nice... i think its good to know there is a good striper bite happening in the northbay, if one was to take the time to actually go out and try some spots in the area they should catch fish too.. finding your own spots is part of fishing,  most fishermen understand how some smaller spots can get blown up on the internet, its happened all to often..

Way to just take one sentence out of that entire quote. There's a fallacy of quoting out of context and you totally distorted it's intended meaning. I already said it: I did give out information on how to catch them. If you actually read the report I tell you how to catch them. What more do you want? The only thing you guys are missing is the spot. Guess blowing up spots is encouraged here.

I'm disappointed at the lack of minor details but nice catch nevertheless.  :smt003

By lack of minor details, you mean the GPS coordinates??

If you need a boat or yak to catch fish you got problems.

It's all good. If they're hating on you, you must be doing something right.

No, sharing of information is...

I'm not sure if you know what the letters in "NCKA" stand for: Nor Cal KAYAK Anglers
We are a kayaking fishing community; which also includes diving from a kayak, off-roading with your kayak, etc. We do occasionally post PB and shoreline fishing reports, but for the most part its about kayaking.

I don't believe anyone yet is hating on you, we are just trying to let you know how we function as a community; it's up to you on how to interpret the feedback. You never know, you might need one of your NCKA members in the future; especially since most major tournys will now require sponsership from an established member.

Most everyone here are very experienced fishermen / women and it is doubtful that you deleting the background really made any real difference to most . No face either ? I can search striped bass and hit images if all I wanted to see was a picture of a fish . Don't expect much shared info with this kind of posting , mayby on Pierfishing , but not here !  :smt011

Thanks for the post Pond King.
Try loosening the drag just a little and don't set the hook at all. It's hard to feel a fish and not do anything at all, but with circle hooks the fish has to hook itself. TONS of patience required, that's why I don't like using them.  :smt003
Credit for not giving up a homies spot.
If someone shows you a spot you didn't know before and asks you not to tell anyone, well, ya gotta respect that. Good job.
