10th NFL game in his career and he's quarterback.   Then takes it to within a field goal in a high scoring game.  I'm impressed. 

I watched the second half of the game again last night. If you still have the game recorded look at the play before the infamous hold on Crabtree on 4th and Goal. It is 3rd and goal from the 5 yard line. Crab catches the ball around the 3 yard line gets immediately tackled by a defender from behind and then Smith comes in with a helmet to helmet hit on a defenseless player that jars the ball out of his hands for an incomplete pass. I rewatched that play at least five times last night in slow mo. It was really obvious and the ref was standing 10ft. from the hit.

When Crabtree gets up he has his chin strap around his nose. I'm sure he had his bell rung on that play.

A penality would have given the Niners a 1st down half the distance to the goal on the 2-1/2 yard line.

Instead it was fourth down and you know the rest. I just wanted to point out that play to see if anyone else noticed.

The Niners played a great game but the Ravens played a better one and are Super Bowl champs.

That all may be true, but I still refuse to lay blame on the referees.  It's a scapegoat, an excuse, and what gives 49er fans a bad name.

For me, plain and simple, the biggest thing that stood out to me was execution.  There were numerous plays where the 49ers didn't and a couple key plays where the Ravens did.

I wasn't giving excuses............they lost plain and simple. I just wanted to point that play out to see if anyone else noticed and if they didn't and still had it recorded to watch it. That's all.

Bottom line is that the game was close enough to go either way and mistakes were made by both teams. The best team were the Ravens on Sunday and they are the Super Bowl champs.
